North East Youth League Dates 2014

The dates and venues of the NEYL for 2014 have been finalised and should appear on the BCEvents page soon.

For information, there are 10 NEYL events, but league points will only be awarded for rounds 1 to 9; the final round of the series(20th July) will include the overall series presentations. Because of this, series points will not be awarded for that round, but British Cycling points will still be given. This means that medals can be engraved etc in preparation for presentation. Overall series points will be calculated from each rider's best 6 results.

Please note round 6 (8th June) is for A and B riders only. This is because the British Schools Cycling Association National Time Trials for u7, u9, u11 and u13 is being held that day at Prissick and it was felt that it would not be fair to organise another event on the same day in the region for those age groups.

All rounds will be on Sundays apart from 17th May, which is a Saturday and includes the North East Regional Youth Championships.

NEYL rounds avoid clashes with any National Youth Circuit Series races held on Sundays.

As was the case last year, prizes may be awarded at individual races, but this is at the discretion of the organisers. For every rider who takes part in each round £1 will be paid to the North East Youth and Junior Development Fund.

Race entry costs will vary for some rounds, and this is due to the variation in event costs at different venues.

Results and overall league tables will be posted on the British Cycling North East website as soon as possible after each round.
