The next North East Go-Ride track session at Manchester Velodrome will take place on Sunday 20th May 2012. Dan Small, the North East Development Manager will be coaching the session but as usual would appreciate club coaches getting involved.  Can all coaches who would like to be involved in supporting the session please let Dan know before Saturday 19th May 2012 and arrive by 11:15am on the Sunday, so a coach briefing can be conducted before the rider briefing.

  • If you are attending the session please ensure you arrive by 11:15am.
  • The cost of session is £10 per rider (money collected on the day)
  • The bike hire for the session is free
  • Shoe hire can be arranged at reception on arrival and costs £4.50

On Thursday 12th April, Sky Sports attended the 3rd day of the Go-Ride Mountain Bike Coaching Programme at Chopwell Woods in the Derwent Valley to film riders taking part in the session for their ‘Get Involved’ television series http://www.skysports.com/getinvolved.

British Cycling Coaches Alex Mclean and Andy Samanjoul, supported by Ben Dobson of Hetton Hawks delivered a great coaching session on climbing, descending and jumps for youth and junior riders in the region

 

Sky Sports were back in the region on 25th April filming Danny Hart at Hamsterley Forest and this footage will also be included in the video
