Officials Education News

We have been requested to communicate the following reminders to all event
organisers and commissaires.
Finish line judges
Finish line judges in races ensure correct and timely production of results.
Whilst electronic recording is a great tool, it is always advisable to have finish line judges to assist

in providing accurate results in sprint finishes.

Online Incident Report form
The introduction of the online incident report form will ease the process reporting incidents to British cycling.
This new way of reporting an incident online is in addition to the existing up-load function on an event on the commissaire dashboard

Event organisers can find the link to the incident report on the left-hand side of their dashboard
Commissaires driving themselves – Road
It is bad practice for road commissaires to drive themselves during races. British
Cycling recommends that commissaires do not drive themselves as it does not adhere to current Highway Code safety protocol

(Driving without due care and attention) and is not in line with the new UCI guidance.

Many thanks for your on-going support.
Kind regards,
Officials Education Team
