Funding Opportunity - Tyne & Wear

The next round of Tyne & Wear Sport Club Bursary opens on Wednesday 1st November.

In this round of funding Tyne & Wear Sport have chosen to focus specifically on providing funding for warm weather clothing.

Funding can be used for items such as sub suits, waterproof clothing, hats, hooded sweatshirts etc. You do not need to be a winter sport to be eligible for this funding.

Grants of between £100 and £500 will be available.

In order to be eligible for funding clubs must meet the eligibility criteria which can be found here

Clubs who apply must have a specific focus on either increasing participation or retaining members and be committed to enhancing the quality and quantity of sporting provision on offer.

All applications must be able to clearly provide the following information:

- Background information about the club i.e. current membership, age groups etc

- The reason for requesting funding

- How the funding will increase participation or sustain current participation

- Budget breakdown.

Please be aware the demand for this funding is expected to be extremely high, therefore only those applications which meet all the criteria and provide a clear understanding of how this funding will increase participation within the club will be considered.

All applications must be submitted on the official application form, which will be available once the bursary opens.

The bursary will open from Wednesday 1st November until Thursday 30th November.

Decisions regarding funding will be circulated after the closing date.

Funding will be released once a club provides copies of the club constitution, proof of purchase and an image of the clothing incorporating the Tyne & Wear Sport logo.
